"
New York, NY – New York City-based experimental/indie punk project, Jane Doe Ensemble are back with their latest offering:
Pink Liquor/Respect.

Featuring two brightly layered melancholic tracks, Pink Liquor/Respect is the lush conclusion of a series of happy accidents in the practice room and meticulous fine-tuning in the studio.

Playful keys, nostalgic vocals and moody strings, are all set against–and exuberantly punctuated by–dynamic drums that carry the listener through from beginning to end, making Pink Liquor/Respect an unexpectedly fun and wistful ride.

Born in the wake of the 2016 election, Jane Doe Ensemble formed out of the need for exploration and experimentation of genre, gender and self, as much as of sound and lyrical content, of three highly intuitive artists: Wren Krisztin, Rachel Czajkowski, and Aaron Batley.

Existing and creating on the fringes of NYC’s music scene, JDE brings together the talents and curiosities of three artists whose raison d’être is to give form, shape, and–at times–simply a platform to abstract ideas and slippery feelings.

This first physical release represents both a departure from, and continuation of the project’s previous thematic and auditory experiments, beautifully highlighting their commitment to experimentation, abstraction and juxtaposition in theory and practice alike."
